Frascati is the town of the Roman Castles closest to Rome. In fact it is only 10 kilometers far from it. It is efficiently connected to the Capital, thanks to the oldest railway link of the Papal States: the Frascati-Rome Termini line. The Hotel Frascati is near the Frascati research centers (ESA-ESRIN, ASI, ENEA, CNR, and INAF), the "Donato Menichella" center of the Bank of Italy, the Tor Vergata University, the Tor Vergata Polyclinic (PTV), DIA ("Direzione Investigativa Antimafia" - Anti-Mafia Investigation Department), and SERCO S.p.a.
From Frascati it is possible to reach all the places of interest and events of the Roman Castles: the archaeological excavations of Tusculum, the Grottaferrata Fair, the Infiorata of Genzano, the famous Strawberry Festival of Nemi, the Angelus recited by the Pope in Castel Gandolfo in summer, and much more. The hotel is located near the amusement park Rainbow Magic Land of Valmontone, and the Outlet Fashion District of Valmontone. The exit of the highway closest to Frascati is that of Monte Porzio Catone, only 4 kilometers far from from it.
From Rome
BY TRAIN
The Hotel Colonna is only 200 meters far from Frascati train station. From the central station of Rome Termini take the train that, hourly and in only 25 minutes, takes you to the railway station of Frascati, that is only 200 meters from our hotel.
BY CAR
From the center of Rome, reach Via Tuscolana, and follow the signs to Frascati. Continue on Via Tuscolana, until you get to Frascati.
From Ciampino
BY TRAIN
Take the bus from Ciampino airport that goes to Ciampino railway station. Here take the train to Frascati. There is a train every hour, that stops at Ciampino, and goes to Frascati. The trip lasts 25 minutes. Frascati train station is only 200 meters far from our hotel.
BY CAR
Leave Ciampino Airport, and take Via Appia to the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare). Take the GRA to Rome-Naples. Take exit 21 to Via Tuscolana, and follow the signs to Frascati. Coninue on Via Tuscolana, until you get to Frascati.
From South Highway
From the Rome-Naples highway, follow the signs to South Rome, and take the exit to Monte Porzio Catone. Then, follow the signs to Frascati (our hotel is only 4 kilometers far from it).
From North Highway
From the Rome-Florence highway, because of the traffic, do not take the exit to North Rome, but continue on the direct link between the Milan-Rome segment and the Rome-Naples segment. Follow the signs to South Rome, and take the exit to Monte Porzio Catone. Then, follow the signs to Frascati (our hotel is only 4 kilometers far from it).
From Fiumicino
BY TRAIN
From the rail terminal of Fiumicino Airport take the Leonardo Express to Rome-Termini railway station. From Rome-Termini railway station take the train to Frascati. There is a train every hour that stops at Ciampino, and gets to Frascati. The trip lasts only 25 minutes. Frascati train station is only 200 meters far from our hotel.
BY CAR
Leave Fiumicino Airport and follow the signs to Autostrade (Highway). Take the highway to Fiumicino-Rome, and take the exit to the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare) to Naples. Take exit 21 to Tuscolana, and follow the signs to Frascati. Continue on Via Tuscolana, until you get to Frascati.
