2nd edition of the Duathlon Sprint MTB delle Ville Tuscolane.

March 17th, 2019 here it comes again the most beautiful sport event of Castelli Romani: Duathlon Sprint MTB delle Ville Tuscolane (Duathlon Sprint MTB of Tuscolan Villas).

Back to its second edition, it is the sporting event of resistance and courage, which runs through a wonderful path that goes from Villa Aldobrandini to Villa Rasponi, and that winds through a landscape of vineyards, olive groves, XVII century villas, Renaissance fountains, beautiful avenues.

Frascati and Grottaferrata, two cities set in history, main characters of this off-road route, offers a challenge to the experts of running and mountain bike, and the opportunity for the neophytes of duathlon to prove themselves over their limit.

The race takes place on Sprint distance, which provides 3km of run, 14Km MTB bike, and closes with 1.5 km running, with technical sections on dirt, all entirely closed to traffic.

Duathlon Sprint MTB delle Ville Tuscolane is proudly organized by A.S. Dilettantistica Castelli Romani Triathlon, and last year he called to Castelli Romani over 90 athletes, from all over Lazio, but also Campania, Marche, Abruzzo and Umbria.
At the end of the competition, A.S. Dilettantistica Castelli Romani Triathlon, has offered to those who took part to the challenge, local food and wine products, and this year, for the new edition, they promise an "opulent final pasta-party".

Villa Aldobrandini, is the majestic building that blesses Frascati from its surrounding hill, and will be the place of the departure of the race. Built for the cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini on a pre-existing building dating back to 1550, the building dominates piazza Marconi and the avenues of via Annibal Caro and Via Vittorio Veneto, a few steps from Hotel Colonna and Piazza del Gesù.
