Everything is in its right place, in order to enjoy the event that has always made the town of Genzano spark with a magical aura: the Infiorata.
The Infiorata is the floral event that takes place every year in the center of this town, on the occasion of the
feast of Corpus Domini; it is a giant carpet of flowers for an extension of almost 2000 meters
squares (more than 400000 stems are calculated) that covers the ancient Via Livia (today Via Italo Belardi).
Every year a particular theme is chosen in order to ispire the images of the floreal "paintings": this year, the chosen them will be "La via della Bellezza" (the Beauty Path), a broad concept, that seems to be suited to the beautiful scenery that embellishes this town of the Castelli Romani.
Moreover, there is an interesting new, which makes this floreal event even more bigger: the partecipation, as main guest, of the sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, whose works are known all over the world.
The tradition of the Infiorata of Genzano has ancient origins, dating back to the Rome of the seventeenth century, and this becomes an unmistakable mark of this town of the Roman countryside, since the eighteenth century.
