Present and future perspectives in Hadron Physics Workshop - from 17 to 19 June, Frascati.
The meeting Present and future perspectives in Hadron Physics will be held in Frascati from 17 to 19 June.
The Workshop Present and future perspectives in Hadron Physics will be held from 17 to 19 June 2024, in Frascati, at the INFN and LFN laboratories, as part of the European project STRONG-2020.
The purpose of the meeting is to bring together a large community of researchers expert in the area of hadron physics.
The first day will be dedicated to selected contributions, while on the second and third days the speakers will present their work in the field of andronic physics.
The STRONG-2020 project is a Consortium that includes 46 participating institutions, belonging to the 14 EU Member States, plus 21 other participating countries and which brings together many of the main research groups and infrastructures currently involved in the study of Strong Interaction in Europe.
Hadronic physics is that field of physics that studies the Strong Interaction in all its manifestations in order to understand its properties in terms of the underlying fundamental theory, Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and understand how the strong interaction gives rise to mass, to the spin and dynamic structure of protons and neutrons, the particles that make up the majority of visible matter in the universe.
INFN and LNF of Frascati
INFN, or the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, was established in 1951, while the Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) were born in 1955. The Laboratories represent a key point for the life and economy of Frascati, and every year they pour an unparalleled flow of people and ideas into the City of Wine.
The relationship between Frascati and the numerous scientific laboratories created in the area has always been one of sympathy and exchange, where a welcoming place with ancient traditions embraces the modernity and vitality of science and technology.
For Frascati, the presence of the INFN/LNF laboratories is a real source of pride, due to the prestige and level of the research carried out by the laboratories.
